     I stumbled across this book written by Julie Zine Coleman in 2022. This was the only copy in Koorong and I had never heard of this long time writer and speaker. However, I found this book one of the simplest and clearest books opening up the role of women. Julie Zine Coleman examines most of the key Scriptures used in the discussions on the role of women, and explains simply how they have so often been misunderstood, and misused, to keep women in unhealthy submission to men. She gives countless anecdotes from her own and others’ experiences to show how this has happened. 
I have read countless books on this topic, but I have found ON PURPOSE the simplest to read, without giving simplistic answers. I highly recommend this book.
