Lifting Our Voices
A gathering for those who long for the ordination of all who are called within the LCANZ
A wonderful uplifting event took place across Australia and New Zealand on Saturday 27 April 2024. Some highlights were: - inspired worship online - 190+ participants - 6 in person hubs - online discussion rooms - presentation of the Way Forward framework - pre-recorded videos - two panels followed by discussion and - an artist in residence! It was an opportunity for sharing the pain of the journey over so many years, the hope we have that women will soon be preaching legitimately in the LCANZ, and the comfort and encouragement in knowing we are lifting our voices together. Coordinators at each hub have submitted their notes and a statement from the gathering will be sent to the College of Bishops and General Church Board.

Perth: St John's Lutheran Church, Perth
Adelaide: Zion Lutheran Church, Glynde
Naracoorte SA: St John's Lutheran Church
Melbourne: St John's Southgate
ACT: Immanuel Lutheran Church, Woden
Brisbane: Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Rochedale
An online hub was provided for all others around Australia and New Zealand to join in the discussions.
